How do I manage utility bills in Wattwhistle?

In your Energy baseline workspace, add a bill by entering its utility type, billing-period dates, and amount. You can also record the provider, usage value and unit, actual or estimated status, and a context note. Edit or delete saved bills, and attach a source file for reference. Bill details are entered in the form; attaching a file does not extract them automatically.

How do I save my operating schedule?

For each day of the week, choose whether the business is open or closed. For open days, enter opening and closing times. Save the week together, then update the weekly form when your regular hours change.

Can I record a temporary closure or changed hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add a date-range exception for a temporary closure or different opening and closing times. You can edit or delete an exception later. It is saved separately, so your regular weekly schedule stays as recorded.

What do the usage charts show?

Accepted Answer

The charts plot positive usage amounts saved on utility bills across their billing periods. Each series groups one utility type with one compatible usage unit. You can filter by bill status and choose a time window based on when billing periods ended. The chart also lists saved schedule hours and overlapping exceptions as context; that context does not explain a change in usage.

Why is a usage chart missing?

A chart needs at least two saved billing periods with positive usage values for the same utility type and a compatible unit. A bill amount without a usage value and unit cannot appear as a usage point. Some utility and unit combinations are not comparable in the current chart, so they are left out.

How do I import bills or operating schedules?

Accepted Answer

Use the CSV importer in the bills or schedules section. Choose a UTF-8 CSV file, select comma or semicolon as its separator, match the file columns to Wattwhistle fields, and check the preview before confirming. For bills, rows with errors are left out while valid rows can be imported. Schedule imports require every row to pass the preview; correct or replace the file if a row has an error. Already-present records are skipped, and the importer reports what it created, skipped, or rejected.

What can I export from my workspace?

Download CSV files for saved utility bills, operating schedules, issues, and reports from their corresponding sections. Report exports can be filtered to an issue. You can also download an individual saved report as a PDF.

Are my saved issues and reports private?

Accepted Answer

Issues and reports are available inside the signed-in account’s Wattwhistle workspace. The app scopes these records to their owner; they are not a public list. Joining another account’s workspace is not currently available.

How do saved issues work?

Accepted Answer

Save a finding you have identified with a title, severity, date, and status. Add private notes on its detail page and move its status between open, investigating, and resolved. You can search and filter your saved issues in the workspace.

How do I write and keep a report?

Write a report title and content, then link it to an issue already in your workspace. Search reports, filter them by issue, and mark them reviewed or unreviewed. Saved reports can be exported as CSV or downloaded individually as PDFs.

Can Wattwhistle send a quote request for me?

Accepted Answer

An issue can open an unsent email draft containing the issue title, date, severity, and any saved reports linked to it. The draft has no recipient, so choose an address in your email app and send it there. Wattwhistle does not send the email. You can update the quote-request status separately after you prepare or send it.

What can I track after sending a quote request?

After you mark a quote request as sent, record a follow-up status such as quote received, work scheduled, or work completed, and save a follow-up date. This keeps the follow-up with the issue; Wattwhistle does not send a message as part of this tracking.

Does Wattwhistle automatically detect anomalies or guarantee energy savings?

No. The current chart is a view of usage values saved from bills, with operating hours and schedule exceptions shown as context. It does not provide AI anomaly analysis, determine why usage changed, or establish or guarantee energy savings.
